TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Aceh Province Cultural and Tourism Agency will held the ‘Aceh Culinary Festival 2015’ on June 7 to June 9, 2015. The event is scheduled to be held at the Ratu Safiatuddin Park in Banda Aceh.
Head of the event committee Wan Windie said that the festival is an annual event in the Aceh province agenda. The event will involve participants from all cities/regencies in Aceh. The event will be held simultaneously with another event, the Jamboree of the Aceh Province Family Welfare Program (PKK). Presents 400 participants from 23 districts / municipalities will be filled in various competitions, cooking demonstrations, parades, musical performances and a typical feast Aceh.
Windie said that the Aceh Culinary Festival will adopt a theme of ‘culture and tradition’. Some of the delicacies that will be presented in the event include legendary traditional cuisine of Aceh, such as the pliek gravy, asam keueng gravy, the beulangong goat curry gravy, and sie itek.
Some of the events that will be held during the festival include various competitions, traditional Aceh cookie baking classes, coffee for free, free grill fun, and spicy food challenges.
Visitors will also be entertained with local art and traditional music performance. Please come and join Aceh culinary festival that will start from 7 until 9 June in Ratu Safiatuddin Park.
